Overnight Bus Trip to Cape May,New Jersey
Friday, April 10 – Saturday, April 11
Fee (per person): 
$490 single room, $390 double room, $355 triple room
Bus departs Islip Library: 7:30 am
Registration begins: Tuesday, January 6, at 6:00 pm
Registration ends: Tuesday, February 3, at 9:00 pm
Please note: No refunds will be issued after Tuesday, February 3, unless your seat can be filled by someone else
 

Itinerary:
Friday, April 10
• 12:30 pm: Arrive in Cape May for time on your own at the Washington
Street Mall, a nostalgic pedestrian thoroughfare lined with specialty
boutiques, eateries and dessert shops.
• 3:00 – 3:45 pm: A guide from Cape May Trolley Tour will take us on a tour
of Cape May and tell us everything about America’s first seaside resort,
from the Victorian heritage to the seaside and maritime history, with fun
facts sprinkled in!
• 4:00 pm: Check into the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel. The evening will be
on your own to explore the area.


Saturday, April 11
• Breakfast is on your own at the hotel (breakfast is included in the fee).
• 11:00 am: check out of the hotel and board the coach for a tour of the
Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian House Museum.
• 11:15 am: Enjoy a guided tour of the first and second floors of the
1879 Physick House Museum. Built in 1879, the 18-room mansion is an
architectural wonder built by famed American architect Frank Furness and is
one of the best examples of Victorian Stick Style architecture in the country.
• 1:30 – 3:15 pm: The bus will drop us off near the Washington Street
Mall. We will have a tour of Cape May’s Colonial House Museum, which
was originally a tavern and the family home of Revolutionary War patriot
Memucan Hughes. The house is thought to be one of the oldest surviving
houses on Cape Island.
• 3:30 pm: We will enjoy a late lunch/early dinner as a group at Lucky Bones
Backwater Grille in Cape May before departing for home.
• Please note: Bus driver gratuity is not included in the cost.
• Approximate return time: 10:00 pm
